What is the difference between KITAP and KITAS?

A KITAS is a temporary stay permit, while a KITAP is a permanent residence permit.

First, you need a KITAS – after holding a KITAS for multiple years, you are eligible to get a KITAP.

KITAP holders usually benefit from longer validity periods and fewer renewals.
