The Retirement KITAP is ideal for retirees over 60 who want to reside in Indonesia permanently. Applicants must have held a Retirement KITAS for at least 4 consecutive years with us as a sponsor. The Retirement KITAP is valid for 5 years, with options to extend it for a lifetime. It grants benefits like multiple re-entry permits and eligibility for long-term residence. The processing time is about 6-8 weeks.
Important: You can only apply for KITAP indirectly. First, you need a KITAS for several years with the same sponsor and then you can apply for the KITAP.
For the Retirement KITAP application we need to be your KITAS sponsor.
- Original passport valid for at least 36 months
- Scan of the ID page of your passport
- KITAS proving 4 consecutive years of residency in Indonesia.
- KITAS with a minimum of 3 months validity
- Bank statement showing at least USD 2,000 or equivalent
- Domicile letter with home address in Bali
- A copy of the lease agreement of the property
- Life or health insurance
- ID card (KTP) of maid/helper
- SKTT (Temporary Residential Registration)
- You can directly add the KITAP to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout for payment.
- After checkout, you will be redirected to a form where you can enter all relevant data for the KITAP application and upload the required documents.
- We will check your data and documents and get back to you within one business day via email or WhatsApp.
- If everything is correct and we have received your visa fee payment, we will arrange to pick up your original passport.
- Then we will submit your document and passport to the Immigration office.
- For the conversion from KITAS to KITAP you have to go for a personal visit to the immigration. Once we get the date and time of your appointment at the immigration we will let you know.
- After taking photos and fingerprints, we will wait until the process is done and the new KITAP is issued.
- We will inform you when the process is done and arrange to drop your original passport and KITAP.
The total processing time is about 6-8 weeks.
Yes. You can purchase multiple visas in one order for multiple persons.
Simply add all visas, whether they are the same visa type or different types, to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. This allows you to complete everything in one single payment.
Yes. If you don’t have all the required documents ready when you apply, that’s no problem. You can simply send the missing documents later via WhatsApp or email.
After placing your order, you will receive our contact details by email (please also check your spam folder).
Please note:
We can only process and submit your visa application once we have received all the required documents and your payment. Submitting everything as early as possible helps prevent delays.
No problem. You can send the missing documents later via WhatsApp or email.
Please note that we can only start processing your visa once we have received:
-
All required documents, and
-
Your payment
Until everything is complete, the application cannot be submitted to Immigration.
Sending your documents as soon as possible helps avoid delays.
If you overstay your visa in Indonesia, you must pay an overstay fine of 1,000,000 IDR per day per person (around 65 USD). The payment must be made in cash at the airport or Immigration office when you leave the country.
You should plan an additional 20–30 minutes at the airport for the overstay procedure.
Important notes
-
Short overstays (a few days) are usually handled quickly and result only in the standard fine.
-
Very long overstays may lead to additional questioning, delays, further administrative actions or deportation.
-
Paying the fine does not ban you from returning, as long as there are no other violations.
The best option is always to extend your visa before it expires to avoid unnecessary fees and delays.
You can submit your documents immediately after payment confirmation.
How it works:
-
Place your order on our website and ensure payment confirmation.
-
Right after checkout, you’ll automatically receive a digital application form.
-
In this form, you can upload your required documents, passport scan, and personal details.
Didn’t see the form?
You’ll also receive the link to the form via email immediately after payment confirmation.
→ Please check your inbox and spam folder. You can access and fill out the visa application form as soon as you receive the email with the link. If you encounter any issues, remember to check all email folders or contact support for further assistance. By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth process for accessing and submitting your visa application form. Ensure that your payment has been confirmed to avoid delays in receiving the email. If you still cannot locate the email, please contact support for assistance in resending the link.
When entering Indonesia, travellers are allowed to bring certain goods duty-free, up to the limits set by Indonesian Customs.
1. Personal goods
You may bring personal items with a total value of up to USD 500 per person without paying import duties.
Families travelling together can combine their allowance (e.g., USD 500 × number of family members).
2. Tobacco products
You may bring one of the following duty-free:
-
200 cigarettes, or
-
25 cigars, or
-
100 grams of sliced tobacco
These limits cannot be combined (e.g., cigarettes + cigars).
3. Alcohol
Each traveller may bring up to 1 liter of alcoholic beverages duty-free.
4. Important notes
-
If you exceed the duty-free allowances, you must declare the items and may have to pay import duties/taxes.
-
Customs rules may occasionally change — if your quantities are close to the limit, it’s safer to double-check the latest regulations.
Here are the current entry requirements for entering Indonesia (including Bali):
1. Passport (very important)
To enter Indonesia, you need a passport or a valid travel document (temporary passport or emergency passport). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on the day of entry or on the day of visa extension. Different rules may apply to other travel documents.
Without sufficient passport validity, entry will be denied.
2. Visa
A visa is required to enter Indonesia. Always make sure to get the correct visa for your purposes of visit!
For short trips, you can buy the Visa on Arrival directly at the airport.
However, we recommend applying for the e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA) in advance to save time and avoid long queues. If you stay more than 30 days, there are even better visa options like the C1 visa. For specific visit purposes, it’s best to check our visa finder or contact us.
3. Outbound (onward) ticket
When checking in for your flight to Indonesia, you may be asked to show proof of a return or onward ticket. If you cannot present one, you may be denied boarding or entry.
4. All Indonesia Arrival Card
Since September 1, 2025, Indonesia has introduced the All Indonesia Arrival Card — a digital form that replaces previous customs and health declarations. You can add the Arrival Card through us, or you can complete it yourself, no earlier than 72 hours before arrival.
5. Love Bali Tourist Tax (Bali only)
Visitors to Bali must pay the Love Bali Tourism Tax of 150,000 IDR (approx. 10 USD / 9 EUR).
Payment options:
-
Pay online in advance (credit cards sometimes fail), or
-
Pay directly at the airport upon arrival
You can also find the entry requirements here: Entry Requirements Indonesia
Indonesia distinguishes between prohibited items (not allowed at all) and restricted items (allowed only under specific conditions, limits, or with a declaration).
🚫 Prohibited items (not allowed under any circumstances)
You may not bring the following items into Indonesia:
-
Narcotics and illegal drugs
-
Firearms and air guns
-
Sharp weapons (unless declared for specific purposes)
-
Ammunition
-
Explosives or explosive materials
-
Pornographic materials
Bringing prohibited items can lead to confiscation, fines, detention, or criminal charges.
⚠️ Restricted items (allowed with declaration, limits, or permits)
These items may be brought into Indonesia, but only under certain rules:
1. Animals, fish, plants & biological products
Require permits from Indonesian authorities (e.g., quarantine, health certificates).
2. Cash amounts over IDR 100,000,000
Must be declared to Customs.
3. Exciseable goods (alcohol & tobacco)
Allowed only within duty-free limits.
Above limits → declaration + import duty.
4. Personal goods beyond exemption limits
Items exceeding the duty-free allowance must be declared and taxed.
5. Commercial goods
Require customs clearance and often import permits.
6. Re-imported or temporarily imported goods
May require a declaration, proof of ownership, or temporary import documentation.
If you are unsure whether your item is restricted, it is always safer to declare it.
No. The Retirement KITAS and Retirement KITAP are multiple-entry permits, meaning you can enter and leave Indonesia as often as you want during the validity period.
Your KITAS/KITAP will not expire automatically just because you travel abroad.
It only expires on its official end date, unless cancelled intentionally (e.g., through an EPO).
The Retirement KITAS is valid for 1 year. It can be extended annually for up to five (5) consecutive years.
After five years of continuous extensions, you may be eligible to switch to a Retirement KITAP (permanent stay permit), depending on immigration policies at the time.
You do not need to leave your passport at Immigration.
You only bring it for your biometrics appointment and you take it back with you immediately afterward. As long as your visa extension was submitted before your current visa expired, you will not incur any overstay fees.
Immigration counts the submission date, not the approval date. So even if your extension is still being processed when your original visa expires, you are legally covered.
We offer several convenient payment methods, including:

Payment options
You can pay directly at checkout using:
-
Debit card
-
Credit card
-
Apple Pay / Google Pay

Crypto payments
-
Bank transfer
Bank transfers
Bank transfers may take a few days to appear in our account.
To speed up the process, you can send us a payment receipt or screenshot, and we will begin processing your application immediately.
Visa Refund
You will receive a full refund if you cancel your order before we upload your data to the immigration system.
However, once your application has been uploaded to immigration, a refund is no longer possible. Immigration does not refund visa fees once an application has been processed or issued, and therefore, we are unable to refund in this case.
Extension
If you already purchased extensions and they remain unused (because you leave Indonesia earlier), we can refund the extension fee as long as you notify us early enough (before the extension process has started).
If we already started the extension process, no refund is possible anymore.
If your visa application is rejected due to a mistake on our side, we will either re-submit the application at our own expense or provide a refund if you prefer.
If the rejection occurs because you are blacklisted due to previous violations of Indonesian laws, we are unfortunately unable to provide a refund.
So far, we have not experienced any blacklist cases, and applications are typically approved as long as all requirements are met.
If entry is denied for reasons unrelated to your visa, we usually cannot offer a refund.
Common issues include:
-
Passport validity of less than 6 months
-
No empty passport page
-
Missing return or onward ticket
-
Blacklisted
If an airline denies boarding due to unclear passport requirements, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to assist you and clarify the situation with the airline.
