How does the personal visit to the immigration office in Indonesia work?

If you apply on your own, you have to complete the first steps online. You will then receive an email with further information. These are the most important information for the next steps:

1. Appointment Info

   • The email will tell you:

     • Immigration office location

     • Date & time of your appointment for biometrics (and maybe a short interview)
       ​

2. Prepare for Appointment

   • Dress appropriately (it’s a government office)

   • Screenshot/print your appointment notice

   • Bring your passport with you
     ​

3. Go to the Immigration Office

   • Show the appointment at the reception counter

   • Get your numbered waiting ticket
     

4. Wait & Proceed When Called

   • When your number is called:

     • Go to the assigned desk

     • Show your waiting ticket + extension application on your phone

     • Show you passport

     • Have your biometrics taken and may answer a few polite questions
       ​

5. Leave and Wait for Results

   • You will take your passport back home with you

   • Once done, leave the office and wait for your application to be processed within a few days
