No, you do not need to visit our office.

The entire visa application is handled online. We only need scans or clear photos of your required documents, which you can upload directly via our online application form. You can complete everything comfortably from home.

Indonesia does not have a special “Transit Visa.” You must use the visa type available for your nationality, such as:

• e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) (eligible for many nationalities)

• C1 Single-Entry Tourist Visa (for non-eligible eVOA nationality)

• D1 Multiple-Entry Visa (if you transit regularly)

A visa is required whenever you must pass border control — even if you only stay inside the airport under certain conditions.

You will need a visa in the following cases:

1. Your transit exceeds the allowed time

• More than 8 or 24 hours (depends on the airport).

In these cases, you must clear immigration, and therefore need a visa.

2. You transit in Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport – DPS)

Bali follows Indonesia’s general immigration rules:
If your nationality requires a visa to enter Indonesia, you must also have a visa for transit in Bali, even if you remain inside the terminal.

3. You change terminals at Soekarno–Hatta Airport (Jakarta – CGK)

If your connecting flight requires a terminal change, you must pass immigration — which means a visa is required.

Yes. Completing the All Indonesia Arrival Card, which includes the customs declaration and health form, is mandatory for all travelers entering Indonesia.

You can fill out the Arrival Card up to 3 days (72 hours) before arrival.

If you haven’t completed it in advance, you can still fill it out at the airport, but you may experience longer waiting times. To ensure a smoother arrival, we recommend completing the form before your trip.

Yes. Every person traveling to Indonesia needs a visa — without exception. This includes children, infants, and senior citizens.

The required passport validity depends on your visa type and your situation. You can find the exact requirement in the “Requirements” section of each visa type.

Standard Tourist Visas

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on the date of your arrival in Indonesia. This 6-month validity is also required when applying for a visa extension.

Long-term visas (1 year or more)

For visas with a longer validity period, Immigration may require 18 months or more of passport validity.

Replacement or Temporary Travel Documents

If you enter Indonesia with a replacement travel document, you must have:

• 12 months passport validity, and

• a valid residence permit

at the time of entry.

Summary

• 6 months → eVOA, C1, C6, … & extensions

• 12 months → entry with replacement/temporary travel document

• 18+ months → long-term visas (1 year+)

If your passport is close to expiring, it’s strongly recommended to renew it before applying.

Rejections are very rare.

In our experience, we have not had a single case where a visa application was rejected, as long as all requirements were met and the applicant provided accurate information.

When can a visa be rejected?

A rejection usually only occurs in exceptional cases, such as:

• The applicant is listed on the Indonesian immigration blacklist

• Previous violations of Indonesian immigration or criminal law

• An outstanding international arrest warrant

• Providing false information or forged documents

For standard applicants who meet the official visa requirements, the visa is normally approved without issues.

If you do not complete the All Indonesia Arrival Card (customs declaration), you may face:

• Delays at Immigration and Customs

• Fines (in cases of undeclared restricted items)

• Confiscation of items that should have been declared

Accurate completion of the Arrival Card is essential for a smooth entry into Indonesia.

If you haven’t filled out the Arrival Card before your trip, you can still complete it upon arrival at the airport in Indonesia. However, queues can be long, so we strongly recommend filling it out before your departure.

No problem. You can send the missing documents later via WhatsApp or email.

Please note that we can only start processing your visa once we have received:

1. All required documents, and

2. Your payment

Until everything is complete, the application cannot be submitted to Immigration.
Sending your documents as soon as possible helps avoid delays.

If you overstay your visa in Indonesia, you must pay an overstay fine of 1,000,000 IDR per day per person (around 65 USD). The payment must be made in cash at the airport or Immigration office when you leave the country.

You should plan an additional 20–30 minutes at the airport for the overstay procedure.

Important notes

• Short overstays (a few days) are usually handled quickly and result only in the standard fine.

• Very long overstays may lead to additional questioning, delays, further administrative actions or deportation.

• Paying the fine does not ban you from returning, as long as there are no other violations.

The best option is always to extend your visa before it expires to avoid unnecessary fees and delays.

Indonesia does not offer a dedicated Transit Visa. Travelers typically use a regular tourist visa for short stays during transit.

Most travelers use the Visa on Arrival (VoA) or the e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA):

• eVOA (recommended):
  ​Apply online before your trip, so you already have the visa upon arrival.

• Visa on Arrival:
  You can buy it after landing in Indonesia, but long queues are possible.

If you are not eligible for VoA/eVOA:

You will need a C1 visit visa, which requires an application and takes several days to process.

If you regularly enter Indonesia for short stays or transit, you may consider the D1 Multiple Entry Visa. It allows multiple entries within its validity period and eliminates the need to purchase a visa on every arrival.

Indonesia does not offer a dedicated “Transit Visa”.

However, travelers still need a visa during transit, depending on whether they have to enter Indonesia. You need a visa if you must clear immigration during your transit for any of the following reasons:

• You must re-check your luggage when changing planes

• You must change terminals that require immigration clearance

• You have an overnight layover and need to stay in a hotel

• You want to leave the airport for a short visit

• Your transit time exceeds the maximum allowed in-airport stay
  (e.g., staying longer than 24 hours or sometimes 8 hours, depending on the airport rules)

Whether you need to re-check your luggage depends on your airline and ticket type.
We cannot check this for you. You must ask your airline directly.

It is essential that you present an Arrival Card with the correct information when entering Indonesia.

No, the B211A visa no longer exists in its previous form.

Indonesian Immigration has restructured the visa system and divided the former B211A category into several specific visa types, each dedicated to one clear purpose.

Instead of one visa covering multiple visit reasons, there are now separate visa categories, such as:

• C1 – Tourism

• C2 – Business

• C6 – Volunteering / social activities

• …

If you previously applied for the B211A visa, you now need to choose the visa that matches your exact visit purpose. This change helps Immigration clearly identify the reason for your stay and simplifies the processing.

If your visa has already expired, you must expect to pay an overstay fine of 1,000,000 IDR per person per day.

The fine must be paid in cash at the airport or at the Immigration Office when you leave Indonesia. It’s important to plan a bit of extra time for the payment process.

Longer overstays can lead to more serious consequences, such as:

• Complications with future visa applications

• Deportation

• Entry bans

What should you do now?

The longer you remain in Indonesia without a valid visa, the higher the risk of:

When entering Indonesia, travellers are allowed to bring certain goods duty-free, up to the limits set by Indonesian Customs.

1. Personal goods

You may bring personal items with a total value of up to USD 500 per person without paying import duties.

Families travelling together can combine their allowance (e.g., USD 500 × number of family members).

2. Tobacco products

You may bring one of the following duty-free:

• 200 cigarettes, or

• 25 cigars, or

• 100 grams of sliced tobacco

These limits cannot be combined (e.g., cigarettes + cigars).

3. Alcohol

Each traveller may bring up to 1 liter of alcoholic beverages duty-free.

4. Important notes

• If you exceed the duty-free allowances, you must declare the items and may have to pay import duties/taxes.

• Customs rules may occasionally change — if your quantities are close to the limit, it’s safer to double-check the latest regulations.

Here are the current entry requirements for entering Indonesia (including Bali):

1. Passport (very important)

To enter Indonesia, you need a passport or a valid travel document (temporary passport or emergency passport). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on the day of entry or on the day of visa extension. Different rules may apply to other travel documents.

Without sufficient passport validity, entry will be denied.

2. Visa

A visa is required to enter Indonesia.

For short trips, you can buy the Visa on Arrival directly at the airport.
However, we recommend applying for the e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA) in advance to save time and avoid long queues. If you stay more than 30 days, there are even better visa options like the C1 visa.

3. Outbound (onward) ticket

When checking in for your flight to Indonesia, you may be asked to show proof of a return or onward ticket. If you cannot present one, you may be denied boarding or entry.

4. All Indonesia Arrival Card

Since September 1, 2025, Indonesia has introduced the All Indonesia Arrival Card — a digital form that replaces previous customs and health declarations. You can add the Arrival Card through us, or you can complete it yourself, no earlier than 72 hours before arrival.

5. Love Bali Tourist Tax (Bali only)

Visitors to Bali must pay the Love Bali Tourism Tax of 150,000 IDR (approx. 10 USD).

• Pay directly at the airport upon arrival

6. Receive your visa by email

Once your visa is approved, you will receive it directly by email.
You can enter Indonesia with the digital visa (no physical label required).

Indonesia distinguishes between prohibited items (not allowed at all) and restricted items (allowed only under specific conditions, limits, or with a declaration).

• Narcotics and illegal drugs

• Firearms and air guns

• Sharp weapons (unless declared for specific purposes)

• Explosives or explosive materials

Bringing prohibited items can lead to confiscation, fines, detention, or criminal charges.

These items may be brought into Indonesia, but only under certain rules:

1. Animals, fish, plants & biological products

Require permits from Indonesian authorities (e.g., quarantine, health certificates).

2. Cash amounts over IDR 100,000,000

Must be declared to Customs.

3. Exciseable goods (alcohol & tobacco)

Allowed only within duty-free limits.
Above limits → declaration + import duty.

4. Personal goods beyond exemption limits

Items exceeding the duty-free allowance must be declared and taxed.

5. Commercial goods

Require customs clearance and often import permits.

6. Re-imported or temporarily imported goods

May require a declaration, proof of ownership, or temporary import documentation.

If you are unsure whether your item is restricted, it is always safer to declare it.

Yes. Both the C1 Tourist Single-Entry Visa and the D1 Tourist Multiple-Entry Visa can be issued for children — including babies.

Important:

• Every family member needs their own visa, regardless of age.

• The visa fee is the same for adults, children, and infants.

Children must submit the same required documents (passport, photo, etc.), adjusted where necessary.

If there’s only an underaged person applying for the visa, then it is fine to provide father’s/mother’s bank statement and proof that they are the parent. If you have your own bank account with more than 2000 USD  or equivalent you can use this as well.

You will receive your visa as a PDF file with a QR code, sent to your email. If preferred, we can also send it to you via WhatsApp.

Your visa is electronically linked to your passport, and it will be automatically recognized when your passport is scanned at Immigration.

A printed copy is usually not required, but we recommend keeping one as a backup.

If a family applies for a Single-Entry Visa or Multiple-Entry Visa at the same time, you can provide the bank statements from one person and upload this proof to all other application forms.

All Indonesian e-visas can be issued no earlier than 90 days before your planned entry date.

Once your visa is issued, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia. If you do not enter within these 90 days, the visa automatically expires and becomes invalid.

After you enter Indonesia, the initial visa validity period (e.g., 30 days, 60 days, etc.) starts from the day of arrival.

Once your visa is approved, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia. This means you should not apply earlier than 90 days before your arrival date.

Example:
If you plan to visit Bali in mid-April, you should not apply before mid- or late January.

Please also consider the processing time for your visa type so we can issue your visa on time.

According to Indonesian immigration regulations, passport holders from almost all countries are eligible for a Single-Entry Visa — with a few exceptions.

• Kosovo

• Bangladesh

• Yemen

❌ We cannot process “Calling Visas”

Indonesia requires a special “Calling Visa” process for certain nationalities, which we are not able to handle. We cannot process visas for passport holders of:

• Afghanistan

• Israel

• Liberia

• Nigeria

• North Korea

• Somalia

Yes. For your visa application, the passport photo / profile photo must meet the following requirements:

• The background must be white (or very light).

• The photo should be clear and well-lit.

• Please wear a shirt or top (no bare shoulders).

• Do not stand too far away or too close to the camera.

• Your face must be fully visible and looking straight at the camera.

You can also take the photo as a selfie with your smartphone:
Just stand in front of a light-colored background and look straight into the camera.

This situation happens more often than you might think: your flight is booked, but your C1 visa has not been issued yet. Many travelers assume the C1 visa will automatically become active once it is approved, but this is not the case.

Which visa becomes active when you enter Indonesia?

If you enter Indonesia using an e-VOA (Electronic Visa on Arrival) because your C1 visa is not ready yet, the e-VOA becomes your active entry visa.

Even if your C1 visa gets approved shortly after you arrive, it cannot be activated retroactively.

To activate the C1 visa, you must:

• leave Indonesia, and

• re-enter using the C1 visa.

What happens if you stay longer, thinking the C1 visa would apply automatically?

Your stay will be calculated based on the e-VOA, not the C1 visa.
If you remain longer than the e-VOA allows, it counts as an overstay.

Overstay penalties in Indonesia:

• 1,000,000 IDR per day, and

• longer overstays may lead to entry bans or complications with future visas.

Always double-check which visa is actually active.

What should you do if you must travel before your C1 visa is issued?

If your C1 visa is not ready but you still need to travel, we recommend:

✔ 1. Enter Indonesia using an e-VOA (if eligible)

This allows you to continue your trip without waiting for the C1 visa.

✔ 2. After arrival, check your options:

• Extend your e-VOA (up to a maximum stay of 60 days), or

• Leave Indonesia briefly (e.g., Singapore or Malaysia) once the C1 visa is approved, then re-enter using the C1 visa to activate it.

Important:

Your C1 visa becomes active only when you enter Indonesia using that visa.
If you enter first with an e-VOA, the C1 remains inactive, and it will expire unused after 90 days if you do not activate it by entering with it.

The regular processing time for all C-visas is up to 14 working days. We also offer a faster processing time of 5 working days on our website.

All extensions are processed at the regular extension speed. If you require an express extension, please contact us directly.

Express processing may be available depending on your visa type, immigration capacity, and your appointment schedule.

It depends on the visa type.

1. e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA)

Yes — the e-Visa on Arrival can be extended by yourself.
You must visit the Immigration Office once for:

• biometrics (photo, fingerprints if required)

• data verification

2. Single-Entry Visas (C1, C2, C6, etc.)

A sponsor is required for the extension. As a visa agency, we can act as your official sponsor and handle the process for you.

A personal visit to the Immigration Office is still required.

3. Multiple-Entry Visas (D1, D2, D12)

Multiple-entry visas also require a sponsor for the extension.
We can be your sponsor and manage the process.

A personal visit to Immigration is required for each extension.

4. KITAS

KITAS extensions also require a sponsor (employer, organization, or agency).
You cannot extend a KITAS on your own.

No. A fully online visa extension is no longer possible in Indonesia.

Even though parts of the process are handled digitally, every visa extension requires at least one personal visit to the Immigration Office.
During this appointment, Immigration will:

• take your photo (biometrics)

• take fingerprints

• verify your personal data

• may ask a few questions

The rest of the extension process can be managed online through us.

Normally, you do not need to leave your passport at the Immigration Office. You bring it to your appointment and take it back immediately.

But if your passport is temporarily at Immigration for any reason (e.g., a special process or administrative request), you can still fly domestically within Indonesia.

To fly without your physical passport, you will need:

• a scan/photo of your passport, and

• an official letter from Immigration confirming that your passport is currently with them

We can request and provide this letter for you.
Please contact the responsible colleague so we can assist you.

Normally, you do not need to leave your passport at the Immigration Office. You bring it to your appointment and take it back immediately.

But if your passport is temporarily at Immigration for any reason, you can still move freely within Bali without any issues.

For safety, we recommend carrying:

• a printed copy of your passport, or

• a digital scan/photo of your passport on your smartphone

This is usually sufficient for identification if needed.

Yes. For all visa extensions, one (1) personal visit to the nearest Immigration Office in Indonesia is required.

During this visit, Immigration will:

• take your photo (biometrics)

• take fingerprints

• verify your personal data

• may take a short interview

You do not need to visit our office, only the Immigration Office.

No, there is no difference in the processing or outcome of your visa extension.

The only advantage of booking the extension together with your initial visa is convenience: you only need to make one booking and one payment.

Whether you book the extension now or later, the extension process will remain the same.

There is no fully online visa extension anymore.

However, the process is still partly digital and you do not need to visit our office or hand over your physical passport.

How the extension works now:

1. Purchase the extension on our website.

2. Send us scans/photos of your documents and personal details
   (passport biodata page, current visa, address, etc.)

3. We submit your data to the Immigration system to start your visa extension.

4. Immigration will schedule a mandatory in-person appointment for you at the Immigration Office.
   At this appointment, you will complete:

   • Photo (biometrics)

   • Fingerprints

   • Short verification

5. After the appointment, you take your passport back immediately.
   Your passport does not stay at Immigration.

The remaining processing is done online, and your approved extension will be issued digitally.

Which visas can be extended?

All Single-Entry C-visas (C1, C2, C3, C4, C6, C9, C22) and Multiple-Entry D-visas (D1, D2) can be extended two (2) times, each time for 60 additional days.
This allows a maximum stay of up to 180 days.

When should I start the extension?

You should start your extension at least 10 days before your visa expires.
You may also apply earlier, but immigration will only process the extension around 14 days before the expiration date.

How to extend your visa

1. Purchase the visa extension on our website.

2. Submit your documents through our online form.
   (Passport ID page, photo, onward ticket, etc. depending on the visa type.)

3. We check your documents and contact you if anything is missing.

4. We submit your extension to the Indonesian Immigration system.

5. We inform you about your appointment date and time at the Immigration Office
   – you can share your preferences and we’ll try to accommodate them.

6. You go to Immigration in person, have your photo and fingerprints taken and answer a few short questions if needed.

7. We finalize your extension and send your extended stay permit (ITK) to you by email.

Do I need to appear in person?

Yes. If you extend your visa via our agency, one personal visit to the local Immigration Office in Indonesia is required for:

• photo

• fingerprints

• short verification

You have to take your passport to the immigration appointment. After the appointment, you take your passport back with you.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of the extension.
If your passport has less than 6 months remaining, Immigration will not process your extension.

For some visa types (especially longer-term visas), a longer validity period may be required.

Tip: If your passport is close to expiring, renew it before starting your trip to avoid delays or rejection.

Since June 2025, there is no online extension anymore. For all extensions, at least one (1) visit to the immigration office is required.

There are no pick-up or delivery costs, because passport collection is no longer required for visa extensions in Indonesia.

We only need scans/photos of your documents. The only time you need your physical passport is during your personal visit to the Immigration office.

After the appointment, you take your passport back with you immediately. Your passport does not stay at Immigration.

You do not need to leave your passport at Immigration.

You only bring it for your biometrics appointment and you take it back with you immediately afterward. As long as your visa extension was submitted before your current visa expired, you will not incur any overstay fees.

Immigration counts the submission date, not the approval date. So even if your extension is still being processed when your original visa expires, you are legally covered.

Yes. For the visa extension, your passport does not stay at Immigration.

The extension is processed online, and you only need to bring your passport to the appointment for photo and fingerprints.

1. Check your visa

   • Is it extendable?

2. Apply online

   • evisa.imigrasi.go.id → “Extend My Visa”.

3. Upload documents

   • Passport photo page, profile photo, flight ticket, address + postal code.

   • Important: the address determines which Immigration Office will handle your case.

4. Pay the fee

   • Online via credit card.

5. Wait

   • Status: “Waiting Verification” → later “Pending”.

6. Receive appointment

   • Immigration Office, date, time.

7. Prepare for the appointment

   • Bring your passport + appointment confirmation, dress appropriately.

8. At the appointment

   • Check in at reception.

   • Get your waiting ticket and wait to be called.

   • Complete biometrics (photo, fingerprints, questions).

9. After the appointment

   • Take your passport back. Processing takes a few days.

10. Done

    • The final decision (approved or rejected) will arrive by email within a few days.

If you apply on your own, you have to complete the first steps online. You will then receive an email with further information. These are the most important information for the next steps:

1. Appointment Info

   • The email will tell you:

     • Immigration office location

     • Date & time of your appointment for biometrics (and maybe a short interview)

2. Prepare for Appointment

   • Dress appropriately (it’s a government office)

   • Screenshot/print your appointment notice

   • Bring your passport with you

3. Go to the Immigration Office

   • Show the appointment at the reception counter

   • Get your numbered waiting ticket
     

4. Wait & Proceed When Called

   • When your number is called:

     • Go to the assigned desk

     • Show your waiting ticket + extension application on your phone

     • Show you passport

     • Have your biometrics taken and may answer a few polite questions

5. Leave and Wait for Results

   • You will take your passport back home with you

   • Once done, leave the office and wait for your application to be processed within a few days

In most cases, the appointment can be completed in around 30 minutes, including biometrics (photo, fingerprints) and data verification.

We always try to schedule your visit at a time with minimal waiting time. However, waiting times at Immigration depend on the daily workload, national holidays, system delays, or internal queues.

In some cases, the visit can take longer than expected, so we recommend planning extra buffer time.

Yes. You should follow a proper dress code when visiting Immigration for your extension appointment.
We strongly recommend wearing:

• closed shoes

• long trousers

• a top that covers your shoulders

There have been cases where people were denied entry at Immigration because they were not dressed appropriately. Dressing properly helps ensure a smooth appointment.

There is no fully online extension anymore.

However, you must visit the Immigration Office once for mandatory data verification, including:

• Photo (biometrics)

• Fingerprints

• Short verification check

All other steps are handled digitally by us.

No, pick-up is not included.

You need to organize your own transport (scooter, car, taxi, ride-hailing service) to the immigration office for your photo and fingerprints appointment. We will inform you about the exact date and time of your appointment as soon as it is scheduled by immigration.
