Easiest Application Process

For the past three years, it wasn’t easy for unvaccinated people to enter Indonesia. People all over social media posted that they would not visit Bali or Indonesia as long as proof of COVID vaccinations was a requirement to enter the country. On 9th of June 2023, a circular letter was released stating that proof of Covid-19 vaccinations and the SatuSehat app were no longer a requirement to enter Indonesia (see below). Please keep in mind that it might still take some time until these changes are reflected in all ministries and communicated to all airports and airlines that are flying to Indonesia and that for a B211A Singe Visit Visa or D212 Multiple Entry Business Visa application, proof of Covid-19 vaccination is still required.

Here is the English translation of the important part of the letter No. SE/00082/PK/06/2023/64:

  1. With the enactment of the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force No. 1 of
2023, the Circular Letter of the COVID-19 Task Force No. 24 and 25 of 2022 are
revoked and declared no longer valid.
  2. All document requirements for arrival and domestic travel in the Territory of the
Republic of Indonesia which include the obligation to download and use the
SATUSEHAT application and show a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
    certificate are no longer required.
