Balifolio Review: Rentals, Events, Communities in One Page
You open a Facebook group to look for a rental, switch to Instagram for an event, then search again for a café and a community to join. Several tabs later, you are still piecing together a plan for Bali. It is tiring, and every promising lead seems to send you somewhere else.
If you have wished for one website that brings those searches together, I think Balifolio is the answer. It gathers events, local businesses, properties, groups and Bali articles in one place. But can it actually help you make a decision, or does it simply give you five more lists to scroll?
I followed the path you would take: pick a need, narrow the options, open a result and work out what to do next. Balifolio brings the search together; ticket purchases, some business contacts and community activity continue on other platforms.
What is Balifolio?
Balifolio is a Bali-focused discovery website for visitors, long-stay travellers and residents. Its five main pages, Events, Directory, Properties, Groups and Blog, bring together activities, local businesses, advertised properties, communities and articles about Bali.
You can filter listings, open individual results and use the available contact or booking links to take the next step. That makes it a useful starting point for planning a trip or finding everyday services once you are on the island.
The signed-out desktop tests and result counts below are from 18 October 2026. Directory categories and the linked business and blog examples were rechecked on 19 October. I tested browsing, filters, sample details and account prompts; completed bookings, inquiries, group membership and account-only tools were outside the test.

Events
Say you want something to do this week, close to where you are staying. Open Events and you can scan live music, workshops, festivals, sports, markets and ceremonies. The cards give you a name, date, area and, when supplied, a price or free-entry label. That is enough to decide which possibilities deserve a closer look.
Now make the list work for you. Choose a date shortcut such as Today, Tomorrow or This week, or enter custom dates. Then filter by location, event type and free or paid admission. You can also look for one-off or recurring events and sort by soonest, newest added or price.
Here is what that looked like in my 18 October test: 738 event entries became 211 for This week, 23 after I added Canggu, and four when I chose Workshop. Four local workshops are easier to compare than 738 island-wide entries. Open each one to check which date fits your plans.

Figure 2. The tested event filters narrowed 738 entries to four Canggu workshops. Counts recorded on 18 October 2026.
Open an event that catches your eye. Its detail page may include a flyer, description, date and time, venue, entry information and related events. I look for the exact time and place first: a workshop is only a useful match if you can actually get there.
Ready for a ticket? When a Get tickets link appears, it takes you to the linked ticketing site or venue booking page; you continue the purchase outside Balifolio. Check the organizer’s page before you pay. The Bahasa for Kids listing, for example, showed Rp50,000 per person and linked to Miranesia, but offered no useful start time or venue more specific than Canggu.
You can save or share an event; adding one required login in my test. One date label shifted by a day in the test browser, so I would confirm the date, time and location with the organizer before arranging transport. A blank price field is another reason to check, not a promise of free entry.
Directory
Need a place to work, eat or sort out an everyday errand? Directory lists 55 categories, checked on 19 October 2026:

Start with the category that matches your task, then narrow by area. Open-now options, price bands and more specific filters appear where available, and sorting helps you compare the remaining places. Some category pages add a short guide, selected places and FAQs.
If you need a late-night desk near Canggu, start there. In my coworking test, Canggu/Berawa/Pererenan cut 114 listings to 25; Open 24 hours left seven. The useful question is no longer ‘Where can I work in Bali?’ but ‘Which of these seven fits my hours and location?’
Open a business card before deciding. A fuller profile can show photos, location, category, rating and review count, plus a description, guest-review themes, cautions and contact options. Some profiles link to a website, WhatsApp, Instagram or Google Maps, giving you a direct way to check current details.

Figure 3. Tribal’s profile combines guest-review themes, cautions and contact links. This is a directory summary, not a personal venue inspection.
Take Tribal Bali Coworking Hostel’s profile. Its guest-review summary mentions reliable internet and a social coworking atmosphere, alongside mixed food opinions and occasional concerns about staff interactions. If you need quiet calls, I would ask about a suitable area before arriving. That turns a review summary into a useful question; it does not mean Balifolio personally inspected the venue.
If you run a business, you can add a listing or claim one. Tribal’s claim page described claiming as free and required an account.
Properties
A café search is one thing; finding somewhere to live raises the stakes. Properties mixes advertised rentals with sale, land and commercial listings. Cards show a title, area, advertised price, payment period and selected features where supplied. Source filters distinguish entries from groups and Marketplace.
Set the terms of your search before opening listings. Choose an area, property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, furnishing, publication date and IDR budget. For a monthly rental, select Rent and then Monthly under Rental duration. Land-size and tenure filters appear for relevant searches.
In my 18 October test, 10,551 entries fell to 4,302 with Rent, 704 after Canggu, and 535 after Monthly. One bedroom and a maximum IDR 20 million left 54 advertised matches. That gives you a shortlist, but it does not tell you whether any home is free for your dates.

Figure 4. Applying rental filters left 54 advertised matches. Availability was not confirmed. Test: 18 October 2026.
So what should you open first? Pick a promising property and read past the headline. Its page can show supplied photos, location, price, features, availability claims and the full description. When there is an original Facebook-post link, follow it to compare the source listing.
Consider the Modern Studio Villa in Canggu listing. The headline rent was IDR 18 million a month, with housekeeping, pool maintenance and internet included. Electricity, drinking water, cooking gas and private laundry were extra. That changes the budget you would actually need, even before you ask about the deposit.
The studio’s contact controls asked me to sign in, and an inquiry form was visible. You can also save listings or start saving a search through Save current filters. These account prompts show where to continue, but the test did not establish whether messages reach advertisers or saved searches send alerts.
Before committing, check the original post and ask the advertiser to confirm available dates, total cost, deposit and exact location. I saw monthly and yearly payment labels that disagreed, as well as an unrelated air-conditioner sale in the feed. Those are reasons to slow down and verify a shortlist, not reasons to assume every listing is wrong.
Groups
Once you have a place in mind, how do you meet people nearby? Groups collects Bali communities on WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook. Cards show the platform, name and, where available, area, interest tags and member figures. You can look for sports, family activities, creative work, rentals or second-hand items.
Filter by platform, area, interest or group size, then sort by newest, most members, fewest members or name. Start with a shared activity and a nearby area: a group you can actually meet is more useful than a large community based across the island.
Open a group to see its description and join option. BaliSquad Social, for example, described meet-ups and outings connected to a Bukit coworking community. Its WhatsApp join control prompted a login. Other links may lead to their respective platforms, where each group sets its own admission rules.

Figure 5. BaliSquad Social’s public description can be read before signing in; its WhatsApp join control requires an account.
Would you feel at home in the group? Read its purpose, location and admission rules before tapping Join. Groups is useful for discovering communities; member counts cannot establish how active or well moderated they are. You can save a group or use Add a group to contribute one.
Blog
You may still need background before choosing a place or planning an outing. Blog brings together Bali guides, tips, stories and news. Cards show the title, category and date, plus an author and estimated reading time when supplied, so you can choose a quick answer or a deeper read.
Choose a category or sort by newest, oldest or Quick reads. Shorter pieces help when you need a quick answer; longer guides give you room to compare options. Check the publication date before relying on details about events, prices or rules.
The FINNS Beach Club review, for example, helps you weigh a full pool day against a sunset-and-party visit. It explains the author’s September 2026 experience, extra food and drink charges, and the difference between visiting and reserving seating. That is practical context for deciding how to spend your afternoon. Photos, a table of contents and source links make it easier to check the details, although depth varies between blog posts.
You can save an article with an account. If a topic is missing, Suggest content gives you a way to propose it.
Is Balifolio worth using?
Yes, as a starting point for planning your time in Bali. You can move from an event to a nearby business, search for a home, find a community and read up on a place without rebuilding your search on five separate platforms. The advantage is the shorter path from ‘What should I do?’ to a handful of options you can act on.
The filters did real work in the signed-out tests. Public browsing did not require payment; saving and selected contact, joining and contribution controls asked for an account. Use the shortlist to decide whom to contact, then confirm the arrangement with the organizer, advertiser, business or group.
Start with the page that solves today’s problem. Explore Balifolio, narrow by your area and open the option that survives your checks. Then use the linked organizer, business, group or advertiser for the next step.
Common questions about planning your Bali stay
Where can I find things to do in Bali this week?
Start with Events, choose This week or your travel dates, then add your area and interests. Open the results to check times, venues and ticket links before planning your journey.
How can I find free activities in Bali?
Use the free-admission filter on Events. Read the details: free entry does not necessarily cover food, equipment or optional activities. If the price is missing, ask the organizer rather than assume there is no charge.
How do I find a villa or apartment for a month in Bali?
In Properties, choose Rent, set Rental duration to Monthly, then add your area, property type and budget. Ask the advertiser about your dates and the full cost, including utilities and any deposit, before committing.
Where can I find cafés or coworking spaces near my accommodation?
Choose Cafés or Coworking in Directory and filter by area and available opening-hour options. For a working session, contact the venue about laptop policies, Wi-Fi, power sockets and any minimum spend.
How can I meet people in Bali when travelling alone?
Browse Groups by interest and area, then read the description and joining rules. Look for an activity you want to join, such as a sports session or a social outing. Listed membership figures do not show how active a community is.
Where can I find car or motorbike rentals in Bali?
Directory includes Car Rentals and Motorbike Rental. Narrow by area, compare profiles and contact providers to ask about availability, delivery, deposits and what the quoted price includes. Confirm the rental terms directly with the provider.
Can I book and pay directly through Balifolio?
For events with a Get tickets link, the purchase continues on the linked ticketing or venue website. Property listings lead you toward advertiser contact or an inquiry. The test did not establish a completed accommodation checkout within Balifolio.
