Tanda Daftar Perusahaan (TDP)

TDP stands for “Tanda Daftar Perusahaan” (Certificate of Company Registration) and is a key document that Indonesian companies must possess to engage in legal business activities, employ foreign nationals, and sponsor them for the necessary work-related visas and permits. Compliance with TDP requirements is an important part of ensuring that foreign employees can work legally in Indonesia. To work legally in Indonesia, foreign nationals usually need both a valid work permit (IMTA – Izin Mempekerjakan Tenaga Asing) and a valid visa. The issuance of an IMTA is often contingent upon the company’s TDP and its ability to demonstrate that the foreign employee is needed for specific roles or expertise. Indonesian companies with a valid TDP can sponsor foreign nationals for work-related visas, such as the Temporary Stay Visa (VITAS) or the Limited Stay Visa (KITAS), depending on the intended duration of stay and employment.
