Administrasi Hukum Umum (AHU)

AHU stands for “Administrasi Hukum Umum” (Endorsement from Minister of Justice Jakarta. AHU is a crucial administrative step for foreign individuals and companies operating in Indonesia. It plays a significant role in various legal and administrative processes, including business incorporation and legal document authentication,  including corporate documents, contracts, and other legal instruments, for use in Indonesia. For foreign investors and companies operating in Indonesia, this endorsement is often required for critical business documents, such as articles of incorporation, company bylaws, and other corporate records. The process of obtaining an AHU endorsement typically involves having the documents notarized by a public notary and then submitted to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Jakarta for further validation and endorsement.  In some cases, foreign individuals seeking immigration-related permits or documents, such as a KITAS (Limited Stay Permit), may require certain legal documents to be endorsed by the Minister of Justice to support their applications.
