A temporary residence visa, which does not entitle the holder to engage in gainful employment, is issued to foreigners who are pursuing education at an educational institution or institute in Indonesia.

Duration of stay
The duration of stay in Indonesia is granted for 6 (six) months/180 days, 1 (one) year and 2 (two) years.
The residence permit derived from this visa can be extended.

Procedure and requirements

REUNIFICATION OF THE SPOUSE OF AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN

A temporary residence visa can be applied for through the online application for visa approval by attaching the following documents:

Letter of application from the spouse of an Indonesian citizen;

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

A marriage certificate from the representative of the Republic of Indonesia and a marriage certificate/book translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, unless it is in English if the marriage took place abroad;
Proof that he/she has living expenses for himself/herself and/or his/her family during his/her stay in the Indonesian territory of at least US$2,000 (two thousand American dollars) or the equivalent;
Two recent color passports measuring 4 cm by 6 cm with a white background;

JOIN THE HUSBAND/WIFE OF A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT (ITAS)/PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT (ITAP) HOLDER.

A temporary residence visa can be applied for through the online visa application by attaching:

Letter of surety from the guarantor vouching for the husband or wife of the ITAS/ITAP holder;

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will perform work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

Marriage certificate / marriage book translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, if not in English;
Valid and still valid ITAS/ITAP/temporary residence visa of the husband/wife;
Proof of living expenses for himself/herself and/or his/her family during the stay in the Indonesian territory in the amount of at least 2000 US dollars (two thousand American dollars) or its equivalent
Two recent colored passports measuring 4 cm x 6 cm with a white background;

REUNIFICATION OF PARENTS FOR CHILDREN FROM A LEGAL MARRIAGE BETWEEN A FOREIGNER AND AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN OR REUNIFICATION OF THE FATHER/MOTHER OF AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN.

A temporary residence visa can be submitted through the online application for visa approval by attaching the appropriate documents:

Letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen (WNI);

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will perform work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

Photocopy of birth certificate translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, unless it is in English;
Photocopy of parents’ marriage certificate/registry translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, unless it is in English;
Valid identity card (KTP) of the father or mother who are Indonesian citizens;
Family Card (KK) of the Indonesian father or mother;
A certificate of notification of parental marriage for marriages outside the Indonesian territory;
Proof of living expenses for himself and/or his family during his stay in the Indonesian territory of at least 2,000 U.S. dollars (two thousand American dollars) or the equivalent;
Two recent colored passports measuring 4 cm x 6 cm with a white background;

PARENTAL REUNIFICATION FOR FOREIGN CHILDREN WHO HAVE A FAMILY LAW RELATIONSHIP WITH AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN AS FATHER AND/OR MOTHER.

A temporary residence visa can be submitted through the online visa application by attaching the appropriate documents:

Letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen (WNI);

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will perform work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

A temporary residence visa can be applied for through the online visa application by attaching:

Letter of application from the father or mother of an Indonesian citizen (WNI);

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will perform work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

A temporary residence visa can be applied for through the online visa application by attaching:

Letter of guarantee from the guarantor;

At least 12 (twelve) months for those who will work in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days;
At least 18 (eighteen) months for those who will perform work or stay in the Indonesian territory for a period not exceeding 1 (one) year; or
At least 30 (thirty) months for those who will work or reside in the Indonesian territory for a maximum of 2 (two) years.

Birth certificate translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, unless it is in English;
Marriage certificate/marriage book of parents translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, unless it is in English;
Photocopy of the parents’ valid ITAS/ITAP;
Proof that he/she has living expenses for himself/herself and/or his/her family during his/her stay in the Indonesian territory of at least US$2,000 or its equivalent;
Two recent color photographs measuring 4 cm by 6 cm with a white background.

Additional requirements
Proof that you have received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Processing time
