Where do I get a Transit Visa for Indonesia?

Indonesia does not offer a dedicated Transit Visa. Travelers typically use a regular tourist visa for short stays during transit.

Most travelers use the Visa semasa Ketibaan (VoA) atau yang e-Visa on Arrival (eVOA):

  • eVOA (recommended):
Apply online before your trip, so you already have the visa upon arrival.

  • Visa on Arrival:
You can buy it after landing in Indonesia, but long queues are possible.

If you are not eligible for VoA/eVOA:

You will need a C1 visit visa, which requires an application and takes several days to process.
→ This visa must be arranged before traveling.

For frequent visitors or regular transits:

If you regularly enter Indonesia for short stays or transit, you may consider the D1 Multiple Entry Visa. It allows multiple entries within its validity period and eliminates the need to purchase a visa on every arrival.
