Yes, an Artist/Entertainment KITAS can be extended, but extensions are not guaranteed and depend on several conditions.
An extension may be approved if:
-
your performance contract or project is officially extended,
-
your employer provides updated supporting documents,
-
the work you perform remains within the scope of the original permit,
-
immigration and manpower authorities approve the request.
Because an Artist KITAS is tied to a specific event, project, or employer, each extension request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If your KITAS expires
If your Artist KITAS reaches its expiration date:
-
you must obtain the EPO (Exit Permit Only),
-
you must leave Indonesia before your KITAS expires,
-
after leaving, you are allowed to apply for a new KITAS if you continue or start a new project.
Failing to leave before expiry can lead to penalties and immigration issues.
If you need help determining whether your Artist KITAS can be extended, feel free to contact us.
